October 5, 2013, Salem Church, Waynesboro, Pennsylvania. Josephales Mtebe was ordained to the Christian ministry and granted ministerial credentials by the Evangelical Association.
None of us imagined how God could, or would, use that event. But, in the words of the wonderful hymn, “To God be the glory, great things He has done…”
At the time Mtebe was director of the thriving, and incredibly impactful ministry, of The Lion of Judah Academy, in Tanzania. He continues in that work today. But, added to that, today he is also Secretary General of the Africa Inland Church, one of the largest protestant bodies in the nation of Tanzania. His leadership and guidance is making a tremendous difference in the Church.
The journey started, in many ways, on the day of his ordination. It was half-way across the globe from his homeland in Tanzania. Who among us could have imagined where it would lead?
And who knows what lies ahead? I can hardly wait to see!

AWESOME! He is certainly an asset and a blessing for Magu, Tanzania. Here’s wishing and praying for him to have many more years of Christian service. Truly a ” good work”.
Heather and I (David Hildebrandt) offer our congratulations to Mwl. Mtebe, as Secretary General of the AICT. I use Mwl. instead of Rev. because that’s the way I knew him, when we were working at NTC in Bulima. 2009 – 2017. All the best, Mwl.
