School’s out at The Lion of Judah Academy! Today, December 18, is the last day of classes until the new school year beings in 2021, so students are on their way home as teachers and staff prepare for a well-deserved rest!
2020 has been challenging for us all…including everyone at The Lion of Judah Academy. Classes were extended about three weeks past the normal end of term, to help make up for lost time from the shutdowns last spring. This break will be much shorter than normal, since the new school year will begin right after the New Year. We’ll provide details about that in due time.
Please pray for students and staff. They all need a break and some rest. Many are in the midst of traveling long distances to their homes.
Here are a few additional notes as we approach the end of the year:
GOOD NEWS!! Due to our generous donors we have met the challenge to raise $15,000…so the full match of an additional $15,000 will be made! Thanks to all who have helped out. The Facebook Fundraiser will continue to be active through December 31, and the more we are able to raise the more we can help the kids and the school! !00% of every dollar contributed goes directly to The Lion of Judah Academy…no deductions, service charges, administration costs, overhead, etc. Every dollar you contribute goes to the school! If you would be interested in supporting a specific project, here are some of the challenges we are currently working on: Current Projects
GRADUATION — We’ve received a nice little video, created at the school, of the graduation a few weeks ago…it’s only about a minute long. So we’ve posted that video on the YouTube channel. Here’s a link to that video: 2020 Graduation Video
And here’s a link to one other video, posted several months ago, that’s kind of a fun overview of the school — it features the Lion of Judah Academy choir. It’s only two minutes long. Lion of Judah Video
NEW SPONSORSHIP PLATFORM – At the beginning of 2021, as the new school year begins, we will be transitioning to a new “platform” (that means a new company and web host) for our student sponsorship program, as well as some of our other online donor support opportunities. We’ve been working on this for a while and we hope it will be relatively seamless and painless, but we’ll see! At any rate, we will contact current sponsors directly to help you make what we believe will be the simple transition over the the new platform. All donors will notice a bit of a different “look,” but we expect everything should be working so if you encounter any problems please let us know right away!
Please pray for the School, the students and the staff…for rest, renewal and safety over this holiday break.
May the most rich and full blessings of our Lord and Savior Jesus rest come upon you as we celebrate The Word Become Flesh…and on into the New Year!
